This carefully designed journey combines spectacular caves, imperial heritage, breathtaking coastal scenery, mountain landscapes, and cultural experiences in one complete adventure through Central Vietnam.

Explore the natural wonders of Phong Nha Cave and Paradise Cave, discover the royal history of Hue Imperial City, drive across the legendary Hai Van Pass, and visit the world-famous Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills.

Morning: Pick-up time depends on the time your flight/train arrives at Dong Hoi Airport or Dong Hoi Station. An English-speaking tour guide with a welcome sign at Da Nang Airport will greet you. The tour guide will take you to a private car and take you to Phong Nha Cave.

The journey from Dong Hoi Airport to Phong Nha Cave takes about 1 hour. You will stop at Phong Nha boat station and travel by boat to Phong Nha Cave. Experience sitting on a boat on the romantic Son River, passing through majestic landscapes, and conquering Phong Nha Cave.

nside Phong Nha Cave are stalactites that were naturally formed over millions of years. The stalactites create unique and strange shapes that bring rich views and imagination. Along with the natural light shining down from the top of the cave, creating a magical and sparkling feeling. The boat will stop at dry caves, the tour guide will accompany you to explore those rows of dry caves before returning to Phong Nha boat wharf.

The boat will pick you up at the cave entrance and take you to the boat dock. The car will take you to the restaurant immediately afterward.

Lunch: Enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon: After lunch, you will have a journey to Paradise Cave.

The car will take you to the foot of the mountain and begin the journey to Paradise Cave. Your journey will be about 600 meters of walking, passing through lush and majestic forests. Then, start exploring Paradise Cave. Inside the cave are stalactites dating back millions of years, creating a unique and strange shape.

At 6:00 pm, The car and tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and go to the restaurant for dinner.

After dinner, the car will take you to the hotel in Dong Hoi, check-in, and rest.

Dong Hoi Hotel: Rex Quang Binh – 09 Bach Dang Street, Nam Ly Ward, Dong Hoi City

Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

Your first stop is the famous Vinh Moc Tunnels, an extraordinary underground village built during the Vietnam War. Local residents lived inside this complex tunnel system to survive heavy bombings for many years.

Explore narrow underground passages, living quarters, kitchens, meeting rooms, and shelters while learning about the resilience and daily life of Vietnamese people during wartime. This is considered one of the most impressive historical sites in Central Vietnam.

Hien Luong Bridge spanning the Ben Hai River is an important historical landmark of Quang Tri province, Vietnam. This bridge once marked the temporary division between North and South Vietnam. Hien Luong Bridge is uniquely painted in two different colors, with a white horizontal line, 1cm wide, as the boundary. Today, although Vietnam is unified, independent, and free, the bridge is still a precious symbol of the country’s history.

Next, you will stop at a restaurant for lunch in Hue.

Aternoon: Travel to Minh Mang Tomb, which is the tomb of the second king of the Nguyen Dynasty. This is the tomb with the most important feng shui elements among the tombs of King Nguyen. All architecture inside Minh Mang Tomb is symmetrical along a vertical axis from Dai Hong Mon to King Minh Mang’s tombstone. The tour guide will share with you the achievements of King Minh Mang’s life when ruling the country and the architecture inside Minh Mang Tomb.

Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant in Hue. Then, the car will take you to the hotel in Hue, check-in, and rest.

Hue Hotel: Rosaleen Hotel –  36 Chu Van An Street, Phu Hoi Ward, Hue City

Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

Imperial Hue is the royal palace of the 13 Kings of the Nguyen Dynasty, also the last feudal dynasty of Vietnam. Kings ruled the country from 1802 to 1945, starting with King Gia Long and ending with King Bao Dai. Imperial Hue is currently preserving the unique architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty and precious treasures are still kept. You will admire architecture such as Ngo Mon Gate, Ngu Phung Floor, Thai Hoa Palace, Dien Tho Palace, Kien Trung Palace, The Mieu, Nine Uns.

After exploring Imperial Hue, the car will take you to Thien Mu Pagoda, an ancient pagoda located on Ha Khe Hill, with a history of more than 400 years, considered a part of the soul of Hue. Here, there is Phuoc Duyen Tower, a sacred tower with 7 floors, the symbol of Thien Mu Pagoda, often seen on ao dai, conical hats, and pictures of Hue.

Enjoy a delicious at a local restaurant.

Afternoon: Travel to Minh Mang Tombwhich is the tomb of the second king of the Nguyen Dynasty, who had many achievements in reforming Vietnam during that period. Minh Mang Tomb is a mausoleum built according to feng shui elements and has a symmetrical architecture based on a straight line.

Continue the journey about 4 km to Khai Dinh Tombwhich is the tomb of the twelfth king of the Nguyen Dynasty. He was a king with a personality and much influenced by French ideology. Therefore, Khai Dinh Tomb has a unique architectural style, a combination of Vietnamese and French architecture. Besides, the Khai Dinh Tomb is known as the top mausoleum in terms of architecture with porcelain mosaic art.

After visiting Khai Dinh Tomb, you will go to Incense Village, which has a long standing traditional craft village. Here, you will see incense sticks meticulously created and beautifully displayed. You can also try participating in an incense-making experience with the locals at this place.

Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. Then, we will return the hotel in Hue at Rosaleen Hotel –  36 Chu Van An Street, Phu Hoi Ward, Hue City.

Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

At 7:00 am, Start your trip from Hue to Hoi An, stopping at the Golden Bridge and Marble Mountains. Your one day journey includes interesting stops like Lap An Lagoon and Hai Van Pass before reaching the Golden Bridge.

Lap An Lagoon, one of the prettiest lagoons in Hue City, is at the base of Hai Van Pass, with brackish water and stunning mountain and forest scenery. Here, you can enjoy the view, take photos, and learn about oyster fishing and pearl farming.

Next, go to Hai Van Pass, known for its beautiful landscapes and the boundary between Hue and Da Nang. At the top, take in the amazing views.

After Hai Van Pass, the car will take you to the Golden Bridge, which you can reach by riding the world’s longest single-wire cable car. The Golden Bridge in Ba Na Hills, Da Nang is a stunning architectural work supported by two giant hands, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forests. Ba Na Hills has unique architecture and fun activities. Besides the Golden Bridge, you can explore Linh Ung Pagoda, French Village, Fantasy Park, and more.

Have buffet lunch at Ba Na Hills.

Afternoon: At 3:00 pm, Head to Marble Mountains, formed by five limestone peaks named after the five elements: Metal, Fire, Water, Wood, and Earth. Walk up the stairs or take the elevator to the top of Water Mountain (Thuy Son) to enjoy the scenery and explore the caves and ancient Linh Ung Pagoda.

Then, the car will pick you up at the foot of Marble Mountains and go to the Hoi An.

Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. Then, the driver will take you to your hotel in Hoi An.

End of the Explore Central Vietnam for 4 days and 3 nights.
