05:30 pm: Guide pick up tourists from their hotels in Hue City. Starting the food trail by cyclo.
First we drop by a restaurant that mainly serve:
- Nam, Loc, Beo cakes are a trio of traditional Vietnamese rice cakes made with water fern, glutinous rice, and tapioca starch, respectively. They are often served together with Ram It, which is a sticky rice dumpling on a fried dumpling.

- Hue lemongrass grilled pork sausage, also known as nem lụi, is a delicious and popular street food in Hue. It is made with pork sausage that is grilled over charcoal and then wrapped in rice paper with vegetables, pickled vegetables, and garlic. The skewer is then dipped in a special peanut sauce.
- Hue sizzling crepe, also known as bánh xèo, is a delicious and popular street food in Hue. It is made with a batter of rice flour, turmeric, and water that is cooked in a hot pan until crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The crepe is then filled with shrimp, pork, bean sprouts, and other vegetables. It is often served with a dipping sauce made of fish sauce, chili peppers, and lime juice.
Next, we will head to a local restaurant next to the river to try com hen, a rice dish with mussels. After that, we will take a short trip to the Citadel, where we will stop by a coffee shop to enjoy a coffee and admire the Citadel at night.
Then, we will have a bowl of bun bo hue, a famous Hue beef noodle soup. It is a hearty and flavorful soup that is made with beef, noodles, and a broth that is flavored with lemongrass and shrimp paste. We will eat it with a plastic stool, a pair of chopsticks, and a spoon.
Finally, we will have dessert. There are more than 20 kinds of Hue sweet desserts to choose from, such as sweet cooking beans and seeds, mixed fruits, and desserts topped with coconut milk.
